Q. When will my order ship, and where can I check its status?
A. In-stock items shipped via STANDARD UPS will generally ship within 4-6 business days of order placement. NEXT DAY and 2-DAY UPS shipped orders placed before 12p.m. CST on business days will generally ship the next business day. NEXT DAY and 2-DAY UPS orders placed on weekends ship the following Tuesday. Orders shipped outside the U.S., including U.S. military bases, require special processing that may add several days to the expected shipping date.

Using your Learning Resources Order Number you receive in your e-mail order confirmation, you can track your order online. Please recognize that orders generally take 2-3 business days to show in our tracking system. Just because your order cannot be tracked online does not mean it hasn't shipped. You can always contact Learning Resources via our Contact Us Section. if you feel your order is unexpectedly delayed or if you have any questions.


Q. How can I tell if an item is on backorder, and when will it ship?
A.
Backorder status shows right above a product's name in the shopping cart ONLY if the item is on backorder, otherwise there is no status listed. The status displays in red and shows the expected shipping date.

Please note that backorder status is not real-time. Many times backordered items will ship even before the expected ship date. Backordered items you choose to order will be confirmed via a letter sent by e-mail or U.S. mail. This letter will provide specific detail regarding your backordered item(s).


Q. Does Learning Resources ship to destinations outside the United States?
A.
Learning Resources is able to ship outside the United States. However, the shipping charges for such orders are not available at the time of order placement. Customers placing orders for shipment outside the United States will be contacted by Learning Resources and informed of their shipping charges.

Many times these charges are quite high in relation to domestic shipping charges. Consumers can then decide at the time of contact if they would like Learning Resources to fill and ship the order. Learning Resources WILL NOT complete and ship an order outside the U.S. until the consumer responds that they are willing to accept the calculated shipping charges (except orders shipping to Canada).

Additionally, Learning Resources will often contact consumers with local Learning Resources retailers (if available) so that a consumer can find the most cost-efficient way of obtaining a Learning Resources product. As expected, shipments outside the United States required extra processing and will take longer to both ship and be received.

Q. Can my order be shipped to a United States military base?
A.
Learning Resources is able to ship to U.S. military bases. However, such orders are shipped via U.S. mail, not UPS. Shipping and handling charges are based on the dollar amount of the order the same as Standard shipped UPS orders. Please refer to our shipping table for specific pricing.

It is important that consumers shipping orders to U.S. military bases include as much detail as possible as to the specific APO/FPO shipping address involved. Be advised that orders shipped to military bases require special processing and will take longer to both ship and be received.


Q. How much will it cost to ship my order?
A
. Use our shipping table to obtain details on shipping and handling charges. Please remember that the charges outlined on the table apply only to orders shipped within the United States. Shipping and handling charges for orders shipped outside the U.S. are calculated on an individual order details. Learning Resources is not able to ship to PO Boxes.


Q. Will I be charged Sales Tax?
A.
Sales tax is applied for the following states (USA only):
AL, AR*, AZ, CA, CO*, CT*, DC*, FL*, GA*, IA, ID, IL, IN*, KS*, KY*, MA*, MD, ME, MI*, MN, MO*, NC*, ND*, NE*, NJ, NM*, NV*, NY*, OH, PA*, RI*, SC*, TN*, TX*, VA, VT, WA*, WI* and WV*.

States with an asterisk charge tax on shipping in addition to merchandise.
State sales tax subject to change.


Q. What is the policy on returning Learning Resources products?
A.
It's important to us that you are 100% satisfied with your purchase from Learning Resources. If you are not satisfied with your recent purchase, simply return it to us within 90 days of purchase in unopened or original condition (excludes clearance items) and we will gladly replace it or issue a full refund. The choice is yours.

Q. Where can I find instructions on how to program the Teaching Telephone™ and other products?
A.
Instructions for the Pretend & Play® Teaching Telephone™ and other popular products and games are available online for printing in our Customer Service area. If you do not see a specific set of instructions, feel free to contact Learning Resources for further assistance. (Maybe we should change the specific unit to another item?)

Q. What kind of replacement battery does the Calculator Cash Register need?
A.
The Pretend & Play® Calculator Cash Register requires a single watch/camera battery model #L1154. Note that this battery is used solely for sound as the calculator function of the register operates on solar energy.

Most other Learning Resources powered products off of standard AA or AAA batteries. If you need assistance determining what replacement batteries a product requires, please-mail us via our Contact Us Section.

 

Q. Where can I purchase additional or replacement parts for a product?
A.
Please visit our parts page, where you’ll find a list of products for which replacement parts are available for purchase. We charge only $3.95 to ship each replacement part. Taxes may apply.

Parts are available for many popular products; however, please understand that replacement parts are not available for all of our products at this time. To view a list of products for which replacement parts are available, please visit our parts page.

If parts are not available for your product, please visit your local store or shop our website to purchase a replacement product. To find the store nearest you that carries Learning Resources products, please visit our store locator page.

 

Q. The product I purchased/received is defective. What do I do?

If you received a defective Learning Resources product purchased from a local store, please return the product to the store where it was purchased. They will be happy to assist you.

Q. Does Learning Resources accept individual donation requests from not-for profit organizations?

Due to the high volume of such requests that we receive, we simply do not have the resources to comply with all of them. We do, however, recognize the importance of being a charitable corporate citizen and, to that end, regularly donate to national charities that serve our core audiences � children, parents and teachers (these charities include Toys for Tots, United Way and other local charities). Through these national charities, our donations are able to reach the greatest number of children and teachers in need.
