Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra "Alex" Scott (1996-2004). At the age of 4, Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held her first stand, the Foundation has evolved into a national fundraising movement raising more than $100 million toward fulfilling Alex's dream of finding a cure, funding over 475 research projects nationally.
Alex's Lemonade Days
During Alex's Lemonade Days, dedicated volunteers host thousands of Alex's Lemonade Stands across the country, raising over $1 million for childhood cancer research. This annual event offers us all the opportunity to make a difference.
On Thursday, June 11th (11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) we will be joining the battle against childhood cancer by hosting our third annual Alex's Lemonade Stand in the south parking lot of our Vernon Hills office located at 380 N. Fairway Drive —so we welcome you to stop by and purchase a cup. While visiting us and enjoying some refreshing lemonade and sweet treats, you can also enter our raffle to win a Pretend & Play® Calculator Cash Register to use at your own lemonade stand.
June 2015 will mark the 12th Annual Lemonade Days, and will continue Alex's mission to raise money one cup of lemonade at a time, renewing her idea that any contributor, at any age, can make a difference. Join us by hosting your own lemonade stand this summer or helping us spread the word!
