Learning Resources Names Toriumi to Lead Branding Initiative
Vernon Hills, Ill., October 9, 2007 — Learning Resources, Inc., a leading manufacturer of hands-on educational products for the classroom and learning toys for the home, announced today its appointment of Eric Toriumi to lead the company’s strategic branding initiative. Toriumi, who is currently senior marketing director at Learning Resources, will head up the branding endeavor to better define, position and promote the company’s corporate and product brands.
“Though our products are well known for their innovation, educational value and engaging interaction, we want to align the Learning Resources brand better with these award-winning products,” said Toriumi. “The idea behind the branding initiative is to increase the awareness of the Learning Resources brands through an integrated, multi-step approach.”
In his added role, Toriumi will conduct internal and external brand audits to gather brand perception, and will establish an interdepartmental branding team that will define and position the Learning Resources brand for the toy and educational products markets.
