Learning Resources Introduces Receives Honors for Product Packaging
Vernon Hills, Ill., May 2, 2007 — Learning Resources, Inc., a leading manufacturer of innovative, hands-on educational tools, and its design team were recently recognized by the 2007 American Inhouse Design Awards for its product packaging. Nine of the company’s package designs were presented with American Inhouse Design Awards, which are sponsored by Graphic Design USA to recognize outstanding work of in-house designers.
The award-winning designs include packaging for Time Activity Mat, Smart Safari™ Piano Pal Hippo, Smart Splash® Color Play Penguins™, Pretend & Play® line, Town Travels™ game, Spill Your Guts™ game, Healthy Hurdles™ Nutrition Game, Jumbo Ocean Animals and Jumbo Pets.
“In-house design teams face a unique set of challenges and responsibilities, and it is a great honor to be recognized by our peers and the creative community,” said Nick Panos, art director, Learning Resources. “Our goal for packaging design is to stand out at retail and persuade our customers, it is professionally gratifying to know that we can stand out among our peers.”
All of the American Inhouse Design Award Winners will be published in the June issue of Graphic Design USA (www.gdusa.com).
In addition to the American Inhouse Design Awards, Learning Resources won a dozen 2006 American Graphic Design Awards for its packaging and catalog design. The Graphic Design USA awards are open to everyone in the international design community: advertising agencies, graphic design firms, corporate, institutional and publishing in-house departments. Only 10% of the over 10,000 entries received in 2006 were honored with an American Graphic Design Award.
