Learning Resources offers children a day in the life of a Toy Executive
VERNON HILLS, Ill., April 24, 2008 – Growing up, many children dream of what it would be like to work at a toy company and get paid to play with toys. On April 24, 2008, Learning Resources, Inc., a leading manufacturer of hands-on educational toys, will take part in “Take Your Child to Work Day” and give local children a behind-the-scenes look at what it is like to work at a toy company.
For more than six years, Learning Resources has participated in the national “Take Your Child to Work Day” event. In addition to spending time learning about their parents’ jobs, event participants at Learning Resources will take part in a series of hands-on learning experiences. These activities include having the children create their own toy catalog covers, participating in a product testing project, learning about how toys are developed, and taking part in a product feedback survey. Plus, the children go home with a bag full of toys and goodies.
“For more than 24 years, Learning Resources has been a strong believer in hands-on learning,” said Etienne Veber, president and chief executive officer of Learning Resources. “It is because of this philosophy that we fully support activities like ‘Take Your Child to Work Day’ and look forward to hosting the event every year.”
