Kary A. Johnson is currently a doctoral candidate in Curriculum and Instruction at Texas Wesleyan University. She also has a Master's degree in Bilingual and Reading Education from Texas Wesleyan University and an undergraduate degree in International
Relations and Spanish from Texas Christian University. She has worked with students in
grades K-12 in general education, English as a Second Language, and bilingual programs, as an administrator and as a reading specialist. Currently, Kary owns and operates a private reading clinic, The Reading Connection, in Fort Worth, Texas (www.readwithkary.com)
