      Comments about Easi-Speak™ USB Recorder:

I received the Easi Speak USB Recorder to use and review in my second grade class room. I have to say that both I and my students were impressed! I love that it's so easy to use....one button to record...one button to play. My students can use it independently with just a little bit of training. There are no batteries required, since it charges on the USB port. One of the coolest uses is the ability to 'collect' students' reading, upload to your computer & then share with parents or other teachers. One (of the many) ways I am using it is to track student reading progress. It's been amazing & powerful for the kids to be able to listen to what they DID sound like compared to how they sound NOW.

Bottom line....this product is a fabulous little motivator! Even my most reluctant reader is eager to read when he gets to use the Easi Speak! It's a terrific addition to your classroom!

        Comments about Easi-Speak™ USB Recorder:

Each week I let my students record themselves re-reading a familiar book from a previous reading conference. Then I'd go back and listen in order to plan teaching point for our next conference. Sometimes I'll record them after a quick book introduction and let them have a first read as I complete a running record.

We are also using this to record our Reader's Theatre scripts during small group. We practice our scripts for a few minutes towards the end of small group time, and the students usually present on Fridays. They love using it.

We love this adorable microphone! We use it in individual speech therapy sessions to motivate kids to string more sentences together and to send the results to parents. We love the high quality recordings and ease of use when recording speech-language evaluations. And we LOVE using this microphone in our Social Adventures groups to motivate kids to express emotions more dramatically. In fact, we wrote a whole blog about using the Easi-Speak with groups, you can read it over at all4mychild.com/blog.

                Comments about Easi-Speak™ USB Recorder:

We used it during our guided reading time. I had my students practice reading the page chorally with me, and then we had one out loud reader record themselves into the microphone. Talk about a whole new spin to radio reading! My students loved reading into the microphone and it was great to be able to play it back right away so that they could hear themselves speak. Seriously, every teacher needs this!!!

                    Comments about Easi-Speak™ USB Recorder:

This is an amazingly fun and useful tool for any classroom. Learning Resources has given me one to review and I am very excited to share my findings with you. It's the perfect size for little hands and is incredibly easy to use. All you have to do to record yourself, is push the red "record" button. To play back what you've recorded, you just push the green "play" button. Even our youngest students will be successful. I especially love that it is wireless and does not require batteries. You just connect it to your computer's USB to charge it back up. It gives you 4 hours of audio before it needs to be charged.

I tried it out on some of my students who are in summer camp and they all loved it. You should have seen the smiles on their faces when they played themselves back. I had them each read a whole story and then I played it back for everyone to hear. Even the really shy children were excited to use it. I can only imagine what this will do for the self esteem of our most reluctant readers!

As a writing teacher, I will have my young authors read their finished pieces into the microphone. Then, I will play it back for the class to hear. I will also use it for teacher conferences, storytelling, assessments, and more.

                    Comments about Easi-Speak™ USB Recorder:

Finding ways to engage students in the classroom with easy to use tools is always a challenge for teachers. But when you do find and easy to use tool that works well-its time to share. I recently had the opportunity to review the Easi-Speak digital microphone form Learning Resources and it name says it all. The Easi-Speak USB microphone has a built-in rechargeable battery that can last up to 4 hours on a charge, giving you and your students plenty of time to record. The Easi-Speak USB microphone can be charged via the USB port on your computer and there is no need to ever have to change or discard batteries.

The Easi-Speak USB microphone is simple to use and is ideal for students in the kindergarten all the way up through the grades. Students can start recording by clicking the Red button on the microphone and when they are done they can simply press the Red button again to end the recording session. I had my graduate students use the Easi-Speak USB microphone and they were really excited and impressed with the quality of the audio recordings. Many of my students were looking forward to purchasing an Easi-Speak USB microphone to use in their classrooms for reading fluency, story telling, and for podcasting. The Easi-Speak USB microphone can save the audio files in the MP3 or WAV format making it easy to utilize with other computer applications. In fact when you plug in the Easi-Speak USB microphone into a USB port it mounts as a flash drive where you can find all of your recordings. The Easi-Speak USB microphone ships with a copy of Audacity giving you the ability to edit the sound files. With the Easi-Speak USB microphone, simple controls and quality recordings, this is one tool most teachers will definitely want to have in the classroom.
