Comments about Gears! Gears! Gears!® Motorized On the Move Building Set:
I was so thrilled when we were given the opportunity to receive this fun set free of charge in order to do an honest review on my blog. My son loves to build and play with remote control cars and this set combines to the two!It is so much fun and great for building skills like perseverance, crticial thinking, and problem solving. My son loves to build his own creations as well as use the guide to create an airplane, motorcycle, and car. Once he finishes his creation he then gets to actually move it with the remote control. It can move backwards and forwards and adds hours of entertainment. We love this and we definitely recommend it!**I received the product free of charge in order to do an honest review.**

So what is so great about this toy?? Well it's just cool! LOL My 13 year old even had fun with it. It's very hands on and we had a blast playing with it together…. the key word here is together!! She is 13 and well you know how teenagers are. They just don't appreciate how wonderful their parents are at that age! It is also great for building problem solving skills and critical thinking. Everything on the toy spins and moves as it goes across the floor and your child is in charge!! They build it and then they drive it! That by itself will build up a child's self esteem.
Great Learning Fun

This set is a great companion to any Gears set you already have or a first set. The gears can be used to make a race car, an airplane, a motorcycle or anything your imagination can bring. The set includes a tethered motor, hand control with a forward and backward button, end connectors, wheels, propeller, glow in the dark stickers, and more. Children use problem solving and critical thinking skills as they put together unique vehicles. This hands on set can encourage some early interest in engineering and technology. There is no wrong way to build with Gears! Every creation is unique. When we received this set my son wanted to get started right away. We opened up the box and I followed the directions for the motorcycle. I think I did pretty good. My son wanted to change it up and make it a little more simple so he took parts off and made it his own style of motorcycle. He had lots of fun driving it around the house. He did have to follow right behind it because the cord is attached and it is a little short. He did have to be a little careful, because when he would go in reverse he would run over the cord and a few times he would get it wrapped around the wheel. So I guess my only complaint would be the cord. But that is so minimal compared to all the learning and fun he is having with it. This set is for 6 years and up, my son is 5 years old and just needs a little support.I received this set in exchange for a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own and not influenced in any way.Read more at http://www.arizonamamablog.com/2013/07/learning-resources-gears-gears-gears.html#Xq79PkFvzSg7785x.99

I wasn't sure how hard this set would be for my boys, but sure enough they did it. The set was just challenging enough that it took them awhile but not too long that they got frustrated or gave up. They were determined little boys! In this set there are enough pieces to make three big creations, not all at the same time though. So first my boys decided to build the motorcycle. After they finished the motorcycle and watched it move, yes it moves, they were reluctant to take it apart to build something else (race car, airplane, or whatever their little minds can come up with.) The remote is attached to a piece that starts off the creation and has two buttons on it, it does require 3 AA batteries too. His motorcycle did move, slowly but it moved. This Motorized on the Move set is compatible with other Gears! Gears! Gears! sets, which of course my boys now want more pieces. For now though the set does come with a decent amount of pieces to keep them busy!
Great toy for encouraging Creativity
I received this product as a blog ambassador and it's one of our favorites from Learning Resources. My eight year old has had endless hours creating different motorized vehicles and loves to create the motorcycle, race car and airplane by following the instructions with his father. Finally a toy that he can build and let it actually move and come to life, that doesn't have tiny parts and can easily be handled.
