Great Product for Tots!

Comments about New Sprouts™ Ring It Up Cash Register - My very own cash register:
I had received the New Sprouts™ Ring It Up Cash Register to review with my 5 year old son, which is a little over the age limit. He absolutely loved it and coincided with imaginative play teachings that his Language Therapist had been helping him on! For children with delays in Language/Cognition, helping to learn how to interact with the back and forth of a 'shop' is great social practice!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The kids like it.
While the kids really do like this cash register and play store with it often, they get frustrated because the coins get stuck inside. When the drawer is open and a coin is dropped in, they get stuck inside. I would love to see an opening in the back where they come out of. I'm sure we could unscrew the whole thing and get them out, but I have yet to attempt. *I received this product in exchange for my honest opinion.

This toy is the perfect way to help kids learn their numbers and still make it fun. There are several different ways to play. They can press the buttons and corresponding images come up on the register. If they press the 2, they see two carrots, 4 is four broccoli, etc. There are also five numbered coins they can into several locations. Because the numbers only go up to five, it won't be frustrating for younger children and the large pieces will not create a choking hazard. The cash register is sturdy enough to handle even your toughest toddler. Best of all, they can play imaginative and interactive games while they're learning. My kids love to play grocery store together. We already had the food and the shopping cart. Now that they have the cash register, they can take turns being the shopper and the store clerk and they are having a ball!
Lots of fun
This cash register is a huge hit with my 4 and five year old kids. They love playing grocery store. This toy is durable and very cute. I would have given 5 out of 5 but we have had the coins get stuck in the top slot. They were easily removed by shaking the register upside down.

My boys love this new cash register! My boys are ages 5 and almost 2 and both of them were able to figure out the cash register on their own. They love that you can put the coin in two different slots. One puts it directly into the cash register and the other slot, you can turn the handle and the coin will slide down. The buttons are big and easy to press and will change the picture on the front of the cash register to match the number you pressed. There is a big purple button that opens the cash register. This is great for learning numbers, matching, and early money skills. My youngest plays with this every single day. It's his favorite toy and it occupies him for hours. It's great for developing his fine motor skills. My oldest, loves to play store with the cash register and loves it. We haven't had any problems with the cash register and would definitely recommend it. **We received this product free of charge in order to do an honest review on my blog. This in no way influenced my review and my thoughts are 100% my own.**
Great for learning numbers and value

This play cash register is just the perfect size for toddlers and is bright and fun just like the other New Sprouts® products from Learning Resources. This is a basic register that features large orange numbered buttons that, when pushed, make the screen spin and reveal the corresponding number of fruit. Although Kenzie knows her numbers, this is a great learning tool for Mason. The fun factor comes in with the coin money. There are 5 numbered coins that can be inserted into the register from the top in one of two slots. The slot to the right deposits the coins directly into the register drawer while the slot on the left brings the coins down the shoot just like change. If your coin(s) gets stuck inside, don't fret because you can just turn the dial on the right side and it will drop down. Both Kenzie and Mason enjoy placing the coins in the slots, then pressing the large purple button to open the drawer and finding them inside. This cash register is great for imaginative play because Kenzie always asks us to buy things and give her money to put into the register. The toy itself is sturdy and well made. It has withstood several drops and remains intact. Yes the kiddos fight over the coins one day and the next day they share. Another great product from Learning Resources.
Great Toy..Poor Quality

The children loved it. Unfortunately it only took several days for the keys to jam. The drawer only opens on occasion. There are several coin slots and I had to unscrew the back to get the coins out once they stuck.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Ring Up Hours Upon Hours of Play Fun!

We got this item for our 4 year old grand daughter to use with her play kitchen. She has always wanted a cash register so that she could play grocery store, etc. This cash register is very durable and perfectly sized for preschoolers. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars and only deducted one star because I felt they could of included more coins. Kids like "play money" and I think more should be included with the cash register.Princess has been enjoying playing with it and we highly recommend it to others.
