Comments about Smart Snacks® Piece-A-Pizza Fractions™:
I use this with students who can identify numerals 1-20. When my other students see how much fun they are having, they start working harder on identifying their numerals. It has also increased my students mathematical vocabulary.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Pizza fractions pieces & weight
from Clinton, TN
While it is great to teach fractions, the different pieces didn't equal the same weight (ie, the 2 1/8 pieces didn't equal the weight of the 1/4 piece, and so on) Not a problem unless you're trying to teach pre-K the concept.)
Wonderful toy for a variety of ages!

My kids love pretend play and they love pizza. My youngest is 14 months so I stayed away from other brands pretend pizza, since they had small parts for him to put in his mouth. I bought these mainly for pretend play, but am delighted at the math skills my 2.5 yo and 4 yo have learned from playing with this! They both quickly picked up that 2 quarters can replace 1 half. It gets them working together. They can each have a pizza (I have 3 kids) but I'll order half pepperoni and half green pepper, so they'll trade to make my order. My 14 month old has chewed on it and it still looks wonderful. I have no doubt that this will last for YEARS!

About Me Parent
My 2 tr old twins love this toy. The only down side is the cardboard storage box that can not hold up to the abuse of toddlers. Great for multiples since there are three personal sized pizzas. They love using the pizza cutter and server to cut and dish out the slices. In spite of the box issues I love the toy. Would pay a little extra for a more durable box. Expect my kids to play with this differently over a long time period. Dual purpose toy. Works for kitchen play and intro to math concepts.
