Comments about Smart Snacks® Stack & Count Layer Cake™:
Great to use for number identification and size vocabulary (big, small, large...) I also use it for concept of one ("put one on"). My kids enjoy playing with this, but it also is made of thin plastic and shows wear quickly!

I thought this would be a great addition to my resources. And it really is cute, But I might have received a defective one. The plastic looks marred and misprinted. They are not that heavy duty either.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The layer cake was a challenge for the children. It encouraged them to persevere and explore the sizes in order for them to place the cakes in the correct order and complete the task. It encouraged them to work together and help each other. The children also enjoyed counting the stars and discovering what number was written on the side. Some of the children had a different number of layers and were able to talk about who had the shortest and tallest cake towers.

I gave this cool stackable birthday cake to my 2 year old for his birthday and it was hands down his favorite gift. He loves to stack things and the cake is just perfect. It also made for some great photo ops! I plan to buy more so I have them on hand to give out as birthday gifts. It is a perfect gift (GREAT price too!!!)

The bright attractive items immediately caught the attention of the children and throughout the trial they were still requested regularly and enjoyed. They were more robust than other similar products.
