      Comments about Super Sorting Pie:

I first saw this toy at a kids' group I take my 2 year old to. There were 4 or 5 kids all trying to play with it at once - they all loved it! So I decided to purchase this toy for my daughter. My two daughters and I enjoy playing with the pie together, sorting it in all sorts of ways. I like to use it with my 6 year old and get her to create patterns with the colours and types of fruit.

      Comments about Super Sorting Pie:

I love this sorting pie! The size, quality and detail of the fruit pieces are fantastic. This "game" is a big hit with both my 3 year old daughter and her 6 year old cousin. Unfortunately, a care-giver thought it would it be a good idea to let them play with the fruit in a water table but didn't dry the pieces before returning them to the pie pan. Consequently, the sorting cards stored in the bottom of the pan were ruined. Is there any way I can get replacement cards?

        Comments about Super Sorting Pie:

The quality of this is fantastic and the learning potential huge.

The set comes with the pie itself, a removable inner part with 5 compartments, a lid, two tweezers, 60 fruits in 5 colours and 3 reversible inserts. The idea is that you sort the fruits by number, colour or type using the tweezers which are great for improving fine motor control and finger strength.

            Comments about Super Sorting Pie:

Math, to me, sometimes can be a bit boring, and there is only so long that you can keep counting on your fingers until you run out, even when you use the entire families hands!! The Super Sorting Pie can become so many different learning tools for us- I just love it!
My favorite way to use it as a teacher is using it as a math manipulative. My daughter can use the pieces of fruit to add and subtract- it makes the numbers even more real when she sees me adding 2 bananas and 3 grapes. She just "gets it" a whole lot easier!! For my 3 year old, she uses it more as a pretend play item- making me fruit pies and trying to sell them to me, which I think is adorable, but she also is learning patterns, sorting, and number sense as well. Using the fruit pieces she can do very simple math – which I think is huge for a 3 year old!! The activity cards allow them to play several different engaging and educational games. This is one toy in our home that definitely is getting used daily, for play and for school

              Comments about Super Sorting Pie:

My son has Asperger's, and this toy is great for helping to develop his lacking fine motor skills. The tweezers are the perfect size and strength for small hands and the pieces are the appropriate size for picking up. It is great for introducing basic math and even helps to introduce simple fractions to younger children and is great with practicing more complex fractions with older children. This is also very sturdy, brightly colored, and unlike most of its sort (pun intended). Great product from a great company.

                Comments about Super Sorting Pie:

This pie is adorable! It is a lot bigger than I expected, as is each of the fruit pieces. There are so many different uses for this pie that it is fun to see what my they come up with. There are tons of fruits (60 to be exact) that kids can match up and sort. There are two plastic tweezers included that are perfect for little kids hands. Once all done all the pieces fit nicely in the pie and you can close it up. It would be nice if the pie top snapped on to seal the pie shut as I am worried pieces will fall out, but at least it does cover it up. You can also use the pie top crust to put all the pieces in while sorting them.

The Super Sorting Pie is perfect for kids to not only have fun but learn a few things too. My boys are 3 and 5 and think its cool. I will say it is definitely not for kids younger than 3 if they are still putting stuff in their mouths, as the pieces are kind of small. Overall, though this product has so many great features that I don't see getting bored with it anytime soon!

                  Comments about Super Sorting Pie:

Early learning should never be boring, never be tedious, and never be forced. Instead it's better to provide learning materials that instantly draw a child in, peaking their curiosity and and encouraging them through discovery. The Super Sorting Pie from Learning Resources is one of the most engaging toys I've seen in a while. There isn't a child I know that wouldn't want to get their hands on this toy. The sorting discs that fit in the bottom of the pie are printed on both sides, giving the child six obvious ways to begin sorting. Sorting by color and shape and characteristic are all pre-math skills that preschoolers absolutely need. It also comes with two pair of giant tweezers (using them to pick up the fruits strengthens their finger muscles which is important for beginning to write). Since there are two, I can easily make up some sorting games that include two of the children at a time. Building the social skills of cooperating and sharing should be part of every preschooler's learning! The fruits are a perfect size for little hands. Learning Resources built so many developmental benefits into this toy! All the discs fit in the bottom, all the fruits fit in the pie, and the lid is curved enough to even allow for both pair of tweezers to fit in the pie when it's closed. I am so absolutely thrilled with the Super Sorting Pie. It's already won two awards and I'll bet it wins many more! I received this product at no charge in exchange for my honest review.
