Comments about Super Strong Magnetic Clips, Set of 4:
Definitely holds as advertised. These don't slip on my refrigerator and the clip's spring is very strong.Although the clip's jaw is a bit shorter than I'd prefer, its strength and tooth design hold well. The clip has a wide but shallow metal tooth at the tip, with foam padding inside it that fills much of the top surface. As far as I can tell, the spring is strong enough to compress the foam, so the hold is really due to the spring and the tooth. I'd hesitate to use it to hold anything that could be scratched. The outside bottom edge of the rim of the metal base is very slightly rounded. The whole thing is painted; the clip inside and out, and the base is painted all the way around the bottom rim to the edge of the magnet. One product suggestion would be add a thin rubber pad to the bottom so they don't bang or drag when applied or removed from the mounting surface. (That's because of how strong the magnet is.) I will try adding a thin rubber sheet myself on the ones I bought. I haven't scratched anything yet, but since the magnets are so strong, it worries me a bit as I take them on and off the painted surface.A rubber tooth might be a good addition too. The magnets in some of mine rock slightly inside the case, so I'm not sure how they're attached. But so far (a couple weeks) that hasn't led to any functional problem.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

These are the strongest magnets I have ever seen
By Amanda from One Extra Degree
I admit it. I have a slight addiction to magnets in the classroom. There. I said it! I seriously don't even know what I would do without my magnet collection. I use them to hang everything from anchor charts, to posters, to our behavior chart, and everything in between. I feel like I can never have enough, so when I was asked to review the Super Strong Magnetic Clips by Learning Resources, there was a resounding YES on my end!The packaging claims that they can hold 20 pounds... each... and it claims that each 1 1/2 diameter clip can hold 50 sheets of paper. I thought to myself, "I'll believe it when I see it". Let me tell you what though! They DELIVERED in a BIG way! I always struggled to keep our behavior chart up in the past using other clips. It seemed like every time a kiddo moved a clip up or down, the whole chart came tumbling down resulting in a mess of clothespins and an unnecessary (yet seemingly unavoidable) distraction. It drove me twelve kinds of crazy on a fairly regular basis. I am happy to say that after a few months with this set of clips, we haven't had a single clip catastrophe. The worst thing that happens from time to time is a little slipping and sliding from the lamination film, but that is easily remedied without a complete mess. I probably don't need to use three-fourths of the clips on my behavior chart, but it's worth the peace of mind to me, just knowing that it's not going anywhere, no matter how many kids are tugging at the chart at any given time. Thank goodness! I have a wide array of magnets in my little classroom oasis. Some of them are eye candy, some of them are sufficiently useful for everyday use, and some of them are workhorses. The Super Strong Magnetic Clips definitely live up to their name. They are super strong, and they are the resident workhorses in my classroom. If you are a magnet snob or a magnet connoisseur, I highly recommend them for your classroom needs. I love, love, love them, and I know you will too!

Great magnets, very strong!

I received these magnets for review on my blog. I have used these magnets for displaying art work, and for keeping up with a stack of papers I need handy for my son's upcoming autism evaluation process. I have all the forms and typed up info clipped in a magnet, envelopes of his past evaluation results in a couple of magnets, and art work in another. These magnets are strong, and held all of this — even the envelopes which probably have about 20 sheets of paper in each! I did use 2 magnets on the envelopes, not because one magnet wouldn't hold the weight of the envelopes, but because the clips aren't very deep and I felt it held envelopes full of papers better with 2 magnets to make sure they wouldn't slip out. It has held the actual stack of papers with no problem, and that is about 10 sheets of paper. I am sure it could hold an even bigger stack if I tried it! The clips are easy to press, but not so loose that they are going to get opened easily and have your papers fall out. Once we get started with our evaluation process, these magnets will probably mostly get used for holding artwork and grocery lists, but for now it is a great way to keep those evaluation papers out of my son's reach and in a place where I won't lose them.

Don't get me wrong I have magnets in our house, but all them pretty much suck. They don't hold much, they fall and they cause problems. The problems arise when papers fall and get lost or damaged, which is what happens in my house. The Super Strong Magnetic Clips are truly awesome! They hold 20 pounds each and you clip the papers, rather than just putting a magnet on. Each clip is easy to use and brightly colored to easily spot. I was able to hold a whole magazine from these clips without them sliding or budging at all! These are great for classrooms, home or office use! I never would have bought new magnets thinking they were all the same but these magnets I think are going to be a big help in getting and staying organzied!
These are GREAT!!!!!!

Since there were four and each was a different color, I let each child select one to be their own personal magnet. The last color left is being used for the baby in my belly! Right now the magnets are holding artwork and stuff, but come school time, you can easily see how useful they will be! Each child can clip their permission slips, homework assignments etc.. onto their OWN magnet! It will make the school year so much easier.
