Directions (as printed in the Activity Guide): Add entire packet of agar (1/2 tsp) to 2 tablespoons of boiling water. Stir until agar is completely dissolved. Pour solution into one sterilized petri dish. Refrigerate to gel (about 30 minute). After the solution turns to a waxy gel, it is ready to use.
