Comments about Ten-Frame Treasures™:
I love teaching math at school. Some number concepts are really hard for kids though. I was very excited to try out the Ten Frame Treasures math activity set with them.Right now in my class, we are working on different ways to make ten. This is a very important concept for addition, subtraction, and number sense. Kids need to understand that numbers can be broken up into smaller numbers. My students were very excited to play the Ten Frame Treasures. They loved that the game comes in a treasure chest and that they are using gold and silver coins to show different ways to make numbers. They loved to play with the money. They forgot that they were doing math, they were having fun. This game really helped my students with their number sense. I will definitely be using this activity again when we start doing addition in a couple of weeks and when we do the number 11 through 20 in the upcoming months.I received this for my review, all opinions are my own.

Love This Set for Kindergarten!
What I like best about Ten-Frame Treasures is the fact that it is both a pretend playset and math manipulative. Both my kids (3 & 5) loved this right away and enjoyed playing with it by themselves as well as with a little more direction from me as we played some of the games and activities in the included activity guide. The ideas are really helpful - we've used it to practice addition and subtraction with my daughter and to practice beginning counting and recognizing amounts with my son. The materials are a sturdy plastic and both the chest and coins are detailed with the chest and ten-frames made to look like wood and the coins featuring double-sided raised images (like real treasure!). All of the pieces fit nicely inside the chest, so it's easy to store them. The set is recommended for ages 5 and up but my 3-year-old enjoyed playing with it, too – and it's honestly one of our favorite sets to practice counting with so I would recommend it for preschool age (supervised, of course).I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ten-Frame Treasures if you're looking for a hands-on ten-frame set. We really love this one! This product was sent to me in exchange for an honest review.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I received a game that helps your child visualize math concepts. The Ten-Frame Treasures game from Learning Resources is perfect to help your child understand simple math problems. This game is suggested for children 5 years of age and up. I even see that it could be used for children as young as pre-school age. The game is fun and helps your child figure out basic addition problems. My 6 and 8 year old thought the Ten-Frame Treasures game was so cute. They love that everything is in a cute treasure chest. The game is made to be played with up to 4 players. This would even be a great small group activity if you are a teacher. Each board has 10 spots to place the coins that are in the treasure chest. You simply give the child a basic math problem (with the answer going up to 10). You can give your child a math problem like 5 + 2. The goal is to have your child figure it out with the coins. So your child would take 5 coins and then another 2 to get the answer of 7. The Ten-Frame Treasures game allows your child to count to get the answer easily.free sample provided

Very cute math set, perfect for teaching early math and counting. We received it for a blog review and my almost-3 year old loves using it with his math lessons as he learns how to add. You can do a lot with this set, and its great for play too!
Early Math Concepts Made Fun!
By Erin from Connected2Christ
If you are looking for a fun way to aid in teaching your hands-on learning child math, Ten-Frame Treasures just may be the activity set you are looking for! This comprehensive math manipulative set appealed to both my son age 2 1/2 and my daughter age 5. It can help you teach base-ten number concepts and it's great for early addition and subtraction. What kid honestly doesn't get excited over a treasure chest? The set as a whole comes with 85 pieces. There's the chest, 4 Ten-Frame Trays, 40 Silver Coins, & 40 Gold coins. The coins all have the same design which is a crown on one side and on the other a ship. Both my kids liked the designs and thought it was cool that the images were raised. Each of the trays can hold ten coins each. And a bonus is that the trays and the coins fit into the treasure chest making it easy to store. I will note that there's no latch or anything so if the treasure chest topples over or is held upside down, you'll have pieces scattered everywhere. One way I've used Ten -Frame Treasure activity set with my five year old daughter is to practice her basic addition skills. I downloaded the additional exclusive content to use with the set on the Learning Resource Website and laminated those pages for use after use! The bonus content option for free material to use with the set is great! Though note that the set does come with activity suggestions as well such as Building Numbers, Adding Up, What Makes a Numbers?, and more. This set really opens the door for teaching early math concepts and functions! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Ten -Frame Treasure set to anyone. The set even meets Common Core Standards! There's not one thing I dislike. The kids love it, there's additional online content, it stores pretty well, it's easy to clean if need be, and can be used in so many different ways whether to educate or to use for imaginative pretend play! Plus who said you can't do both? I know my kids would love to play pirate during their math lesson!
We received this to review for LR and this product is just genius! It's so simple but will have the kids begging to use it! We've used it from K5 to 3rd grade (depending on ability level) for subtraction, addition, simple multiplication, and even simple fractions.

Ten-Frame Treasures is an AMAZING resource that makes learning math super fun! As a former teacher and now a homeschool mom, I LOVE this product because it is hands-on on and also helps meet Common Core Standards! The pirate treasure makes math a game that helps kids use ten frames to add and subtract. Since kids learn better with manipulatives, especially FUN manipulatives, Ten-Frame Treasures is a perfect product to make math come alive!! I highly recommend this product! We LOVE it!!
