Comments about Buggy Balance ™ Measurement Activity Set:

We have been able to use the Buggy Balance as a way to augment what our daughter is learning at school, while at home! This kit comes with the balance (super easy to put together, just two pieces that snap together, and 60 weight-related caterpillars and leaves. We have been able to use this set to help with her really understanding things that are heavier or lighter or equal to one another in weight and then discuss how size comes into play overall. We have also been able to use the bugs and leaves for basic math – addition, subtraction, counting, etc since there are 60 total pieces!
Her favorite way to use the Buggy Balance is basic comparison. She will ask someone in the house to fill one side of the balance with bugs and leaves and then try to come up with that weight in some other combination. This is a great segue to talk about other things in life (like money!) that have multiple ways to reach one answer!

Comments about Buggy Balance ™ Measurement Activity Set:

My son was so excited when he saw the Buggy Balance Activity Set because he had one in his Kindergarten class. So this was a great product to have over the summer so he could keep practicing what he learned at school.

It's great for teaching about balance and measurements. You can compare linear measurements and use the tree-themed balance to compare weights. My son had so much fun measuring and balancing. He liked trying to figure out how many leaves it would take to balance out the caterpillars and how many small caterpillars would measure up to the big caterpillars. It's brought him hours of entertainment as well as helped him continue learning.

**We received the product free of charge in order to do an honest review. However this in no way influenced my review. My thoughts are 100% my own and others may have a different opinion.**

Comments about Buggy Balance ™ Measurement Activity Set:

We received Learning Resources Buggy Balance game. My 7 year old couldn't wait to take this out and play with it. My daughter told me that they have games like this at school, so she already knew how to use it. This is a game where your child will place different items on one side of a balance arm. They then have to add items to the other side to make it balance. The pieces they use for this are really cute bug shapes. My daughter thought the caterpillars were super cute. They are different colors and sizes. This is a great tool for your child to learn about and compare measurement and length. This game is appropriate for children 5 years of age and up. This really is a nice quiet activity that is great for a day inside away from the heat. My 7 and 9 year old take turns putting items on one side of the balance arm, and then the other tried to put items on the other side to make it balance.
