Cognitive: Receptive Language
Cognitive: Expressive Language
Extended uses across the curriculum—oral language, fluency, phonics, speech therapy, intervention and more
Can be used for self awareness/self assessment/biofeedback in the areas of grammar and speech articulation/phonology
Children can listen to their recordings and critically assess their productions. Such a review generates an advanced auditory discrimination task (error production vs. targeted sound), especially if the children are able to correctly produce the sounds some of the time
Student data can be easily added to digital portfolios for authentic assessment, goal progression and sharing.
Auditory memory deficits can be aided by recording directions for the child to replay when necessary
