Comments about Learning Resources SAFE-T® Compass:
This product is excellent for drawing circles of one-inch or greater diameter, but the small wheel at the center "hangs up." This center wheel needs to be made of a more slippery plastic, or maybe even alumnium, in order to slide properly in its' socket. Everything else about the product is excellent! It's flat and has no sharp points, so it fits into a notebook or backpack with ease. As long as you have two pencils, you may draw almost any circular shape you will need in class.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Love this compass after all these years.
from Oneonta, NY
I used these in High School and fell in love with them so much I asked the teacher if I could have it. I still have it to this day and now, as a working artist, I still use it to this day. They are the best compasses I have ever used. They do not loosen like the metal, pointy ones, and you can stick it in your pocket and not have to worry about piercing yourself, and if the little white wheel pops out, it snaps right back in no problem. While the radius is limited, only up to 10", I have never found this to be a problem, and I continue to use and recommend this product to others.Safe, light, reliable, affordable. What more could one want?
