Great game for young and old!
About Me Parent
The aim of the game is simple – spin the spinner and collect the coloured acorns. The first player to collect all 5 of their acorns wins! As well as having colours on the spinner there are also special squares which could mean you get to pick up more acorns or lose those you have already collected. The game is aimed at children aged 3-7 and I would agree with this age range. I would say though that younger children may struggle to pick up the acorns with the squirrel as it is quite large and the acorns are quite small and fiddly to get into the logs. 2-4 players can play at any one time.In the box you get 20 coloured acorns, 4 logs, the spinner and a squirrel which you use like tweezers to pick up the acorns. The bottom half of the box is the 'tree' where you put the acorns which I thought was a great idea as it means they are not going all over the floor/underneath furniture!I do think the price is on the high side for a board game of this simplicity, however, the pieces provided are great quality, even the box is very strong and has lovely pictures on. It is certainly much better quality than other board games on the market and this is reflected in the price. The game teaches colour matching and fine motor skills together with teaching your child about turn taking and sharing. We were sent this game free of charge for the purpose of review.
