      I love this set because sometimes students have a hard time thinking of what to write about. So along with the writing prompts I have, I also let them use these cards. the cards have pictures on them, which also helps students who are visual learners.

      We have used the box with one boy I taught last year, who was an incredibly reluctant writer, as a way to encourage him to write. He was allowed to select a card himself which he used as a stimulus for his writing. He enjoyed having the box on the desk and used it almost as reassurance.
